Connections Dating is the rebrand of Great Expectations which was a dating service that had become antiquated due to the emergence of E-Harmony and Match. In order to compete Connections Dating needed to offer something other sites simply did not. It decided that the way to compete successfully would be to allow users to browse and communicate more directly allowing Connections Dating to become more of a social networking site than a site geared at revenue.
